Frequently Asked Questions

How does the site work?

The site is very simple to use.

  • Users find their phone in the list of phones we accept,
  • Submit their personal information,
  • Send their phone back using the box and prepaid shipping label we provide,
  • We verify that the phone is what the customer says it is.
  • Then we’ll send them check.

The whole process takes about 45-60 days.

How many phones do you accept?

The number changes every day…new models are added to the list and older models are taken off…on average there are over 500 models listed.

What is the price range?

Prices change daily but they typically range from just a few dollars to well over $100 depending on the model.

Is there a limit to the number of phones a person or business can sell?

No. We will accept 1 or 1000…or more.

How do you determine the value of a phone?

Our sale price determines the value.

When is the best time to sell a phone?

Now! Unlike fine wine, cell phones don't get better with age.

What do you do with the phones you buy?

We remarket the phones worldwide…however most of our re-marketed phones make their way to countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Why Latin America?

Economics force developing countries to focus on expanding wireless networks as opposed to stringing phone cable throughout the country…so their wireless networks are generally well built. Used and refurbished cellphones provide the economically disadvantaged with basic communications…sometimes wireless is their only means of communications.

Can I donate my phone through CellForCash.com?

Yes, we provide 911 phones to several organizations throughout the country and we also have arrangements with several charities to accept donated phones on their behalf.
